Biography: Dr. Abbas is a consultant general and laparoscopic surgeon and head of the general surgery department at National Guard hospital, AL Madinah, KSA. Assistant professor of clinical surgery /Tiaba University /Al Madinah/KSA. Graduated from the University of Khartoum /Sudan in 1982 and obtained the fellowship of the royal college of surgeon /Ireland 1n 1990 and the fellowship of the American college of surgeons in 2011and the international college of surgeons in 2001, USA. He Actively involved in the training of surgical residents and he is the director of the Saudi council training program in general surgery at the National Guard hospital. Member of the editorial board and reviewer many international medical journals. Organizer and director of the basic and advanced laparoscopic training courses at the National Guard hospital. An active researcher with more than 50 scientific papers published in different international medical journals. Member of many international academic associations and societies of general and laparoscopic surgery and member of the international federation of obesity and metabolic surgery.
